The 3kg bag of Agribiomix certified seed is sized to plant 1 hectare of Silphia. Once installed, this perennial crop produces biomass for more than 15 years without further sowing or tillage.

Sowing rate: 3 kg/ha underseeded (with maize) or 2.5 kg/ha underseeded.
Sowing period: April 20 to May 31 (warmed soil > 10°C imperative).
Depth: Shallow sowing (1 to 2 cm maximum), well reconsolidated soil.
Lifespan: Perennial crop over 15 years.
